explizit — Simultandolmetscher & Konferenzberatung

We know what we're talking about

Interpretation

The name Explizit is synonymous with professional interpretation. We all have university degrees in conference interpreting and, as the saying goes, once learned, never forgotten. But we also come with a wealth of experience, having completed more than 1,000 interpreting assignments between us.

If a speaker says ‘That’s the way the cookie crumbles’, then you’ll hear ‘So läuft der Hase’ from us, not ‘So krümelt der Keks’.

We offer simultaneous interpretation with booths and headphones, for occasions such as the analysts’ conference of a reinsurance company, a symposium on vascular surgery or the annual meeting of the International Butchers’ Confederation.

We also provide simultaneous interpretation using equipment specifically designed for mobile use. With portable microphones and headsets we can interpret the tour of a new production facility or a training course about that newly-installed recirculation pipe.

Consecutive interpreting, when we speak after the speaker without using specialist equipment, is another possibility. One day we might be interpreting an after-dinner speech given by the Honorary Consul of the Democratic Republic of Congo, another day might see us at the presentation of an award for civil courage to a Colombian trade unionist or the confidential talks between a Hessian minister and his counterpart from Lombardy.

As liaison interpreters, you might see us in action working with a small group negotiating the launch of a joint venture providing interior fittings for the automotive industry or the co-operation agreement for the new sales office your company is setting up in Scotland.

Whichever mode we are working in, we always provide top-quality interpretation into German, English, French and Italian. We relish working as a team and also have access to an excellent network of experienced colleagues, allowing us to cover all European languages and the major international ones too.

Conference interpreters are sometimes called simultaneous translators or consecutive translators. Whichever name you use, we speak your language!
